Complete restoration of the electrical systems at Locks 9, 11, 14, 15 and 17 along the N.Y.S. Canal System. During late June of 2006 heavy rains had flooded the canal system and caused the closing of the canal for an extended period of time between Lock 2 and Lock 22. Many of the antiquated electrical systems controlling the locks were damaged. Replacement of underground conduits and wiring along the lock walls and into the lock operation buildings were replaced along with the electrical distribution system within the operation buildings. Many of the historical lighting poles and fixtures
were also replaced. |
