LaCorte employs Vermeer Navigator-directional boring machines to bore through rock and soil where other machines and techniques cannot.   Directional Boring
These machines are designed for use in all climates and
situations to enable the proper installation of fiber optic cable and other types of conduit. LaCorte crews utilize the Vermeer 24/40 and Navigator 50x100A soil and rock bore machines as part of the rapidly growing specifications for trenchless technology. Directional drilling ensures minimal or no environmental disruption. Directional underground drilling can be used for roads, landscape and river crossings with less cost than other methods.
Ground-penetrating radar improves accuracy in locating buried utilities without digging. The system maps depth and location information of utilities as small as .8" down to 18" deep and larger utilities down to 20' deep. This technology is also used in preconstruction utility surveys to identifying underground metallic and nonmetallic pipes and cables and to identify bedrock and water table depths.
